Are you ready for the ultimate challenge and reward in wildlife photography?
Join our intensive 3 day Winter Wildlife Photography Adventure in the majestic Scottish Cairngorms National Park and immerse yourself in one of the UK’s most spectacular wildernesses.
This isn't just a workshop—it's a pursuit. We will be hiking into the mountains and valleys to find and photograph some of the most iconic creatures of the high ground, perfectly adapted for winter:
- Mountain Hares: Capture these elusive subjects in their pristine white winter coats, blending perfectly with the snowy landscape.
- Ptarmigan: Get up close with these magnificent game birds as their plumage transforms into its stunning winter camouflage.
- Red Deer: Look out for encounters with Red Deer and other incredible wildlife during your exploration.
- Crested Tits/ Red Squirrels: Spend the morning or afternoon photographing one of Scotland's iconic little birds or the red squirrels.
What Makes This Workshop Unique?
- Intimate 1:3 Ratio: Benefit from highly personalised, one-to-one guidance with an expert photographer. This small group size ensures you get maximum hands-on instruction in the field.
- Expert Guidance for All Brands: Whether you shoot Canon, Nikon, Sony, or Fuji, you'll receive guidance on camera settings and field techniques necessary to nail the shot.
- The Ultimate Winter Shot: Focus on capturing wildlife in their natural environment during their most striking seasonal transformation, providing images few photographers ever manage to achieve.

Hania Sulczynska
I just came back from an incredible Cairngorm Wildlife Experience with Ashley and I'm still buzzing!
Amazing 3 days of hiking in the Scottish mountains, photographing beautiful animals and scenery, and learning about the techniques and fieldcraft.
Ashley's experience and skills in finding the elusive and well-camouflaged animals are exceptional.
If this sort of activity is your thing, then I highly recommend his Cairngorm Wildlife Experience.
Thank you, Ashley! ![]()

A trip that exceeded all my expectations and Ashley delivered and then some.
He managed to tick so many of my photography boxes in just a few days.
Red deer, ptarmigan, crested tits and of course the hares.
I had such a great time and one that I won’t forget in a very long time! ![]()
