Photographing mountain hares and red deer in the Peak District.

The Wildlife

Join me on a 3-day wildlife photography experience photographing mountain hares in the Peak District, followed by the red deer roaming the Peak District moorland and more. 

Venturing out into the Peak District Moors can be unforgiving, with strong winds driving rain and boggy terrain. This is truly an outdoor experience, one that is rewarded by capturing these beautiful mountain hares and red deer in their natural environment. With a careful and slow approach, we will try to minimise the disturbance and photograph these beautiful animals as they go about their daily business. There is also the possibility of seeing red grouse, kestrels, short-eared owls and red kites

The 3rd day is spent down by a river photographing dippers and wagtails. 

This can be quite a physical experience, so a good amount of fitness is required for walking over the moorland in all conditions.

Please note!

Whilst I call all these workshops "workshops", not all of them will be about how to use the camera, etc some of the time is about having the opportunity to come out with me to photograph the wildlife and pick up some tips and useful information whilst out in the field and enjoying the day.

I will arrange, travel for boat trips, meals when required, access to arrears, and cover the costs for entry and transport from our rendezvous point within the fee you have paid.
